Rihanna ‘Loud’ Official Album Review
Today I’m going to be reviewing Rihanna’s newest album ‘Loud’. Now I know that the album came out months ago but I’m still going to review it. I didn’t really expect to get this album or even have any interest in getting it, it kind of just happened and it really surprised me. I actually didn’t even listen to her previous album ‘Rated R’ just because some of the singles didn’t really impress me so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one. This album really ventures away from her darker ‘Rated R’ side and goes to a more of a upbeat, Loud tune. She’s also a bit more colorful this time around (hence her new red hair). The tunes are very pop-ish but she also has sort of an island theme to some of her songs, kind of how she had those kind of songs on her earlier albums.
Some of my favorites off the album and the more upbeat ones are ‘S&M’, ‘What’s My Name?’, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, and one of my personal favorites ‘Complicated’. Even though the album is filled with pop songs, she does know how to slow things down, especially in her song ‘California King Bed’, which is another of my personal favorites. She also has a follow-up to Eminem’s hit ‘Love The Way You Lie’, in which Rihanna is the lead singer and Eminem is featured. This is perfect if you’re not that fond of rap.
Overall I absolutely love this album, but there are still a couple of songs that I could skip. I also appreciate that there are only 11 songs. That way there is less room for error and fillers! If you are a fan of Rihanna, I would recommend you buy it. A must have for any fan!
