Lil’ Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ Goes Platinum In First Week
Posted on September 10, 2011
Lil’ Wayne’s album Tha Carter IV has gone platinum worldwide in its first week of release! This is by no means a surprise since he sold 964,000 copies of the album in the U.S. alone! C4 is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as the United World Chart! The album has sold 1,300,000 copies as of its release!
Aside from the massive success that the album itself has had, Wayne is also celebrating the success of the songs on the record. Eleven of the songs off of Tha Carter IV are currently on the Billboard Hot 100 chart – twelve if you want to count “Motivation” by Kelly Rowland. “How To Love,” “Mirrors,” “Blunt Blowin’,” and “Megaman” are a few out of the many songs that are currently charting!
